1. General guidelines for the equivalency of degrees

• The Supreme Council of Universities is the only entity in the Arab Republic of Egypt that equates degrees (PhD - Master - Bachelor) and postgraduate diplomas granted by educational institutions and universities that are not subject to the Law of Universities Regulation No. (49) for the year 1972 and compare them with their corresponding degrees awarded by universities Subject to this law.
• The instructions are designed in the form of a questionnaire so that we can clearly and briefly explain the progress of the progress of the equation, and conclude whether a direct certificate will be issued or proceed with the equation procedure.

3. Methods of documenting certificates according to the donor

1: Certificates granted outside the Arab Republic of Egypt :-
• The certificate must be certified by the Ministry of Higher Education in the donor country.
• Documentation of certificates in the country in which the donor is located (university - institute - academy .etc) by certifying the certificates and papers required for equivalence from the Egyptian cultural office in that country.
• Documenting the certificates and papers required for the equation in Cairo by certifying the certificates and papers required for the equation from the embassy of the country to which the donor university is located in Cairo and then certifying them from the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
• Certificates granted by the United States of America are documented by the American Office (AMEDEAST) located in Mohy El-Din Abu El-Ezz Street and then the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, and the certificates granted by England from the British Council in Agouza and then certified by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Second: Certificates granted by universities subject to the Law of Universities Regulation No. (49) for the year 1972:-
• Certification of the certificate is sufficient for the seal of the awarding college only (stamp of the Republic’s logo in the college)

Third: Certificates granted by private universities and higher education institutions that are not subject to the Universities Regulation Law No. (49) for the year 1972 in the Arab Republic of Egypt:-
• Certificates granted by private universities and private institutes are attested by the Ministry of Higher Education

Fourth: Degrees granted by educational institutions that are not subject to the Law on Universities Regulation No. (49) for the year 1972 and are not subject to the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education such as Al-Azhar University and the Military Technical College
• Certification of the certificate is sufficient for the seal of the awarding college only (stamp of the Republic’s logo in the college)

4. Financial Consideration

• Paying the financial compensation for the equation by credit card or paying the required amount in one of Banque Misr branches after printing the payment authorization that appears at the end of the program where the requests are only considered after paying the required financial compensation.

*No fees other than those mentioned in the schedule are paid either at the bank or the council.

5. General Notes

• Certificates and documents are provided in the Arabic or English language, and if they are in another language, a certified translation must be provided in the Arabic or English language.
• Certificates and documents submitted to the council are not returned to the applicant, so the council accepts a true copy (black and white) and sealed with live seals, with the original present when the documents are submitted for viewing only.
• In the event that the certificate is obtained from a branch of a university located in a country other than the state in which the mother university is located, attaches to the statement that the Ministry of Higher Education's recognition of this state should be attached to the university branch and that this certificate qualifies its holder to postgraduate studies in this country.
• The necessity of submitting the original documented certificates and the required documents (+2 copies of the original, stamped with the original to be reviewed) to the Citizens' Service Office of the Supreme Council of Universities upon presentation to the site.
•(For non-Egyptian applicants) in the case of submission of papers equation by the applicant, A letter from applicant's Embassy in Cairo must be brought for request of equation. In the case of submission of papers by someone else it should be mentioned in the embassy's letter the name of the person who will complete equation's measures.
• Print the application report from the system and submit it to the Supreme Council of Universities.
